Outreach for October
This month we continue to support St. Paul’s food bank, and our own breakfast program.
St. Paul's Foodbank
Laura encourages all parishioners to think about providing lots of fruits and vegetables for St Paul’s food bank . … this is a Thanksgiving weekend…. Think about local apples , vegetables like potatoes, sweet potatoes, squash, fresh cranberries, and maybe canned pumpkin . Breads / cereals are always welcome as is canned tuna / salmon. This Sunday 11th October is our Food Bank Sunday.
Breakfast program
The team served 150 breakfasts this past Saturday. We are blessed with some new volunteers who are not members of our parish but want to serve our community. We also give a great thank you to team members who spent hours Tuesday afternoon switching out the spring and summer wear for fall/winter clothing and footwear. Our next community breakfast is Saturday, October 17th from 9 - 10:30am. All are welcome!
FundScrip The cards you ordered will be available in the Narthex between the services on Sunday.
Alongside Hope Christmas cards are now available:
This year's Christmas cards evoke the miracle of Jesus’ birth under a dark night sky. Just as the weary world rejoiced 2,000 years ago, we too feel the thrill of hope as we celebrate Christmas. Choose from two watercolour illustrations: In “O Holy Night,” a caribou admires the Northern Lights shimmering over a cozy log cabin; in “Our Dear Saviour’s Birth,” Joseph and Mary admire the newborn King. Order cards by contacting Anslim Hameed at (416) 822-9083 or toll-free at 1 (877) 936-9199 ext. 228, or by email at [email protected] , or contact him with any questions. A minimum donation of $25.00 is suggested for a package of 12 cards.

Let's Celebrate
Today’s weekly Stewardship Thought – Thanksgiving reminds us that gratitude and generosity belong together. We begin not with what we lack, but with what God has already placed in our hands: time, abilities, relationships, and resources. Stewardship is our grateful response. When we recognize life as gift, generosity becomes more than an obligation; it becomes an expression of joy. This Thanksgiving, may we give thanks not only with our words, but with our lives.
